Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking an Battery Engineering specialist to design, develop, and test battery monitoring units and BMUs for next generation consumer electronics.

You will work with suppliers to develop custom parts, design test methodologies, and push the performance-to-volume ratio for battery systems. The role involves collaborating with Product Design, System EE, and Cell Engineering to ensure timely development and rigorous validation across prototype and production stages.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.
• Experience in analog integrated circuit design such as DACs, LDOs, SMPSs or relevant.

Responsibilities

• Push the boundaries of technologies to maximize performance and minimize volume through modeling and simulation.
• Specify custom parts and PCBs for use in BMUs.
• Analyze the design with simulation tools and calculations to verify conformance to requirements.
• Create IC models and conduct model validation.
• Conduct design validation on prototypes to implement the design.
• Conduct design reviews and release design documents for builds.
• Collaborate with Product Design, System EE, Cell Engineering, Firmware, Algorithms, etc.
• Develop schematic and guide component selection to meet all BMU requirements.
• Specify production test plans and work with CM partners to realize design.
