Job summary

Applied Intuition Defense is seeking a Hardware Engineer to bridge hardware, edge software, and field flight operations, split roughly 50/50 between lab and airfield. You will bring autonomous aerial systems from benchtop to live flight, configuring embedded Linux, deploying containerized software, and wiring mesh networks.

You will write Python and C++ glue code, perform precision soldering, fabricate wiring harnesses, and lead integration efforts with software, GNC, and hardware teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in robotics integration, flight test engineering, embedded systems, or autonomous vehicles.
• Experience bridging hardware and software in complex systems.
• Strong hands-on hardware skills and debugging abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end hardware and software integration for unmanned aerial systems.
• Deploy and configure edge software and Docker stacks on onboard computers.
• Troubleshoot vehicle networks, payload interfaces, and sensor links in real time.
• Develop Python and C++ scripts for data reduction, log analysis, and validation.
• Fabricate wiring harnesses and perform precision soldering.
• Configure IP routing and networks between flight controllers, radios, and ground stations.
