Job summary

Amentum seeks a Senior Hardware Engineer to support the Space Force Range contract. You will design and develop integrated hardware solutions and oversee interfaces within the Communications subsystem, coordinating across LTRS subsystems.

8+ years in systems engineering are required, with strong communication, diplomacy, and attention to detail. U.S. citizenship, DoD Secret clearance, and a valid driver's license are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, MIS, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or related engineering field.
• Experience with computer hardware, operating system software and desktop applications, with a concentration in communications instrumentation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.

• Applies advanced methods and research techniques and assists in developing impact assessments and CONOPS change recommendations.
• Provides technical consultation on communications systems modeling and simulation.
• Supports other duties as assigned.

• Design and develop integrated solutions to meet business requirements or enhance performance.

• Integrates the hardware and software functions within theCommunicationssubsystem and coordinates across all LTRS subsystems.

• Analyzes potential systems and prepares supporting documentation for current and future performance, stability,interoperability,and systems management/life cycle issues.

• Analyzes,decomposes,andallocatesrequirements from the subsystem level down through the CI level to specific projects.

• Analyzesrangedeficiencies toidentifyand prioritize proposed projects to address those deficiencies.

• Applies advanced methods, theories and research techniques andassistsin the development, implementation and documentation ofimpact assessments, architecture change recommendations and CONOPS change recommendations.

• Provides technical consultationandexpertiseoncommunicationssystemsmodeling and simulation.

• Supports other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project requirements.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual starting salary for this position is between $130,000 or $140,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
