Job summary

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in cross-functional product development.
• Ability to read schematics and apply circuit theory to hardware design.
• Experience with FP-GA/CPLDs, FPGAs and programmable devices.
• Knowledge of industrial control systems and functional safety.
• Experience in a scaled Agile environment and EMC/IEC61000 familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on an agile team to design and develop new industrial automation products, including architecture and hardware verification.
• Program, analyze, and troubleshoot electronic hardware prototypes.
• Prepare product design documentation and test reports.
• Lead technical initiatives such as researching new technologies and circuit design tools.
• Troubleshoot failures and implement test automation and design simulation.
• Build cross-team relationships to deepen understanding of the development lifecycle.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar technical degree
• Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar technical degree desired
• At least 5 -10 years of hands-on experience in cross-functional product development
• Experience using design capture tools, able to read & understand schematics, and have in-depth knowledge of circuit theory and operation, including microprocessors, digital logic devices, analog and/or DC-power conversion, programmable devices (CPLDs, FPGAs)
• Hands-on experience with hardware test equipment including, but not limited to, debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
• Knowledge of industrial control systems, programmable logic controllers, and/or functional safety design
• Experience working in a scaled Agile environment
• Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g. IEC61508) and/or EMC standards (e.g. IEC61000)
• Strong attention to detail and ownership
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Growth mindset with willingness to learn, mentor and expand technical ownership
• Must have Hardware design and development experience (have been a part of designing, developing, testing and/or launching a product to the market.)
• Prefer EMC testing experience, experience in a regulated industry (i.e. medical, aerospace, automotive, industrial),
