Job description

We are seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team working on complex development programs in the aerospace and defense industry.

Responsibilities include:

1. Collaborate with engineering teams to define and implement features for the Software Defined Radar (SDR) supporting Space and Terrestrial Sensor missions.
2. Develop and document hardware requirements and specifications for digital hardware and systems.
3. Design, simulate, implement, and test new hardware designs, including planning and task estimation.
4. Coordinate with Systems and Radar engineers to verify feature implementations.

Qualifications include:

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience or M.S. with 6+ years.
• Experience with complex systems involving digital HW, RF HW, and SW, especially for space, aircraft, or unmanned platforms.
• Proficiency with large FPGAs (Xilinx Ultrascale, RTG4, etc.) and high-speed transceivers.
• Experience with Altium or similar design tools and industry-standard simulation software.
• Knowledge of signal integrity analysis for high-speed printed circuit boards.
• Ability to work in an agile environment, familiarity with Atlassian tools is a plus.
• Proactive attitude with strong follow-through skills.
