The Judge Group is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer (Logic Design Engineer) in Alpharetta, GA with 7+ years of full lifecycle hardware engineering experience, including VHDL/Verilog for an international commercial airline manufacturer.

This onsite role offers significant advancement opportunities and requires DO-254 compliance, FPGA/PLD development, firmware integration, and hardware testing across multi-layer PCBs.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering (EE) required.
• 7+ years of firmware development experience.
• 7+ years in hardware engineering.
• Strong experience with VHDL/Verilog.
• Experience with 8–16 layer PCBs.

Responsabilités

• Adhere to DO-254 standards for FPGA designs.
• Handle full life-cycle engineering (analysis, development, PLD review, code/testing, hardware test).
• Perform firmware changes, testing, debugging and source code review.
• Integrate existing system firmware.
• Develop simulation analysis and physical bench tests.

MUST HAVE

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering (EE)
• 7+ years experience with firmware development
• 7+ years in hardware engineering
• Strong experience with VHDL / Verilog
• Experience working on printed circuit boards from 8 to 16 Layers

MUST BE

A US Citizen or Green Card Holder

EXPERIENCE

• Adhere to DO-254 (Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware) and specifically FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays) standards to develop firmware designs
• Handle full life-cycle (Analysis, Development, PLD Review, Code / low-level testing, hardware test) engineering
• Perform and oversee PLD development processes, firmware changes, testing, debugging and source code review
• Existing system firmware integrations
• Develop simulation analysis and physical bench tests in the lab
