Job summary

LinkedIn is seeking a Senior Engineer - Commodity / Vendor Management to support sourcing, supplier management, cost optimization, and supply assurance for LinkedIn’s datacenter hardware portfolio. You will drive commodity strategies across CPU, GPU, DRAM, NAND, NVMe/SSD, HDD, and other components.

You will partner with cross-functional teams, own supplier relationships, and help shape negotiations and lifecycle activities from qualification through production ramp in a hybrid work model based

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years in commodity/vendor management or hardware sourcing.
• Experience with CPU/GPU/DRAM/NAND/Ssd/NVMe/HDD or server platforms.
• Experience with suppliers, contract manufacturers, ODMs/OEMs, or global teams.
• Experience in sourcing, pricing negotiations, supply planning, or supplier performance.
• Strong analytical ability to analyze cost, supply, and performance data.
• Ability to drive operational responsibilities and collaborate in a small team.
• Cross-functional teamwork with Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or Finance.

Responsibilities

• Commodity Management and Market Intelligence across CPU, GPU, DRAM, NAND, NVMe/SSD, HDD and other components.
• Supplier and Vendor Management including pricing, forecasts, and delivery performance.
• Supply Assurance and Execution tracking demand, inventory, and long-lead components.
• Cost and Commercial Management supporting sourcing events and negotiations.
• NPI and Lifecycle Execution from qualification through production ramp.
• Quality and Supplier Performance tracking and corrective actions.
• Cross-Functional Execution within a small team, providing visibility into cost, supply and risks.
