Job summary

Golden Touch in New York is seeking a Senior Production Coordinator to manage end-to-end production of handbags and accessories, from order placement to delivery. You will coordinate with overseas factories, design, sales, and accounting to keep timelines, quality, and private label standards on track.

The role requires 5+ years in production, strong knowledge of handbag construction, and travel to overseas offices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of production experience, handbags/accessories preferred.
• Strong understanding of handbag construction, materials, trims, packaging, testing, and production processes.
• Experience managing production with overseas factories and coordinating high-volume orders.
• Willingness to travel overseas to work with overseas offices and factories.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; PLM systems experience is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily correspondence and production coordination with overseas factories.
• Liaise cross-functionally with design, sales, technical design, traffic, and accounting teams to ensure a seamless production workflow.
• Maintain and monitor time and action (T&A) calendars and production WIP reports, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
• Track and follow up on all production orders to ensure on-time execution and resolve delays or issues.
• Ensure bulk deliveries meet customer requirements, timelines, quality standards, and private label standards; communicate updates to the sales team.
• Coordinate with traffic and accounting to ensure timely payment releases and on-schedule arrival of goods at the warehouse.
• Review and approve shipping marks, packaging layouts, hangtags, labels, cartons, and other production materials.
• Ensure handbags and accessories meet customer/private label standards, including testing, packaging, labeling, quality, and compliance.
• Partner with overseas factories to monitor product quality and address production issues.
• Review production samples and documentation to identify issues prior to bulk production.
• Proactively troubleshoot production challenges and communicate solutions to internal teams and overseas vendors.
• Maintain accurate production records and provide timely status updates on order and delivery progress.
