Job summary

The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. is seeking a Clinical Testing Senior Lab Technician (hair color) to join the hair color lab team. The role focuses on formulation, product testing and in-vitro hair testing, with work conducted in a scientific and safe environment.

Expect routine data generation and calibration of lab equipment. Candidates should have an Associate degree or higher, 2+ years of lab experience, strong documentation skills, and the ability to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science and/or Technology Degree required.
• 2+ years of Laboratory experience in test methods, research & development and/or quality assurance.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel.
• Experience with technical writing in a scientific field.
• Effective time management skills.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 8 hours per day).
• Experience in operation of scientific instruments and applicable software.
• Willing and able to do some repetitive tasks.
• Follow Good Laboratory Practices and other regulations, where applicable.
• Maintain a clean and organized lab area.
• Ability to follow safe lab practices.

Responsibilities

• Executes work with excellence with minimal daily supervision.
• Clarifies for understanding & prioritization and proactively updates supervisor on status and flags issues / help required.
• Generates and records data on repetitive and routine experiments with excellence.
• Proficient in calibration, use and maintenance of standard lab / pilot plant equipment.
• Assists on making routine batches following defined protocols and routine equipment.
• Conducts routine analysis on stability batches.
• Conducts physical tests on batch samples vs defined specifications.
• Develops knowledge of Company culture, resources, processes etc.
• Competent in standard lab / pilot plant procedures & policies.
• Builds understanding of category.
