Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Hair Care Technical Documentation Specialist to support the organization, maintenance, and integrity of technical documentation within a Hair Care R&D environment. This position requires extensive knowledge of Hair Care technology, hair structure and function, technical testing methods and endpoints, and the claims support process.

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Employment Type: Full-Time Contract

Schedule: 40 hours per week

Travel: Up to 20%

Key Responsibilities

Hair Care Technical Documentation

• Organize and maintain technical documentation related to Hair Care technologies, methods, endpoints, and claims support
• Apply knowledge of hair structure and function when reviewing and categorizing technical information
• Maintain documentation associated with Hair Care technical methods and testing endpoints
• Support documentation throughout the claims substantiation and support process
• Maintain accurate information within the Hair Care POC system of record
• Ensure technical documentation is complete, accurate, logically organized, and readily accessible
• Proofread and review technical documents for accuracy, consistency, and clarity

Document Management & Archiving

• Develop and maintain effective electronic and physical document archiving systems
• Label, sort, categorize, and retrieve technical documents
• Establish and support long-term document storage strategies
• Maintain documentation integrity throughout the document lifecycle
• Control access to technical documents and sensitive information
• Identify and appropriately remove or archive obsolete documentation
• Utilize electronic document management and storage applications
• Perform document transcription and conversion activities as needed

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure documentation practices align with applicable regulatory and organizational requirements
• Support internal and external audits by locating and providing required technical documentation
• Maintain accurate records and documentation traceability
• Work with cross-functional colleagues to ensure consistent documentation practices
• Identify documentation gaps and support corrective actions when necessary

Technical Collaboration

• Collaborate with R&D, technical, claims, and other cross-functional teams
• Translate complex technical information into clear and logically structured documentation
• Independently manage assigned documentation activities and priorities
• Support teams in retrieving and interpreting historical technical information
• Maintain consistency across Hair Care technical records and supporting documentation

Required Qualifications

• Extensive professional experience within Hair Care technology and/or Hair Care R&D
• Strong working knowledge of Hair Care technology
• Strong understanding of hair structure and function
• Experience with Hair Care technical methods and endpoints
• Direct knowledge of the claims support and substantiation process
• Experience working with a Hair Care POC system of record
• Strong technical and scientific documentation experienceExperience organizing, maintaining, and retrieving complex technical records
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, logical technical documentation
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of accountability
• Strong attention to detail and documentation integrity

• Extensive experience supporting Hair Care research and development
• Experience managing technical documentation throughout the product or technology lifecycle
