Job summary

Kemper Corporation is seeking a seasoned Guidewire ClaimCenter Developer to design and code scalable claims systems within the property & casualty domain. You will influence architecture and mentor peers while delivering robust solutions using Java/SpringBoot, AWS, and Guidewire InsuranceSuite.

Remote work from a US-based home is supported, with SAFe practices and a strong focus on security, testing, and CI/CD. 8+ years of experience and Guidewire expertise are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of developer experience; 2+ years in senior/lead capacity.
• Extensive Guidewire ClaimCenter experience required.
• Strong Java, Gosu, Kotlin, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript skills.
• Deep knowledge of SDLC, architecture patterns, and secure coding.

Responsibilities

• Design robust, high-performance solutions across systems and services.
• Act as a technical contributor on critical projects in P&C claims domain.
• Share deep technical knowledge with teammates without people management duties.
• Advocate for improvements in architecture, standards, and processes.
• Collaborate with engineering and product to align tech with business needs.
• Create proofs of concept to demonstrate capabilities.
• Enforce coding and security best practices.
• Work within SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
