Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Staff Guidance Navigation and Control Engineer for our El Segundo, CA site. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and validating GNC algorithms and software, supported by simulation tools to meet aircraft performance goals.

You will work on control law development, data processing, and model refinement, ensuring compliance with security and program access requirements for sensitive systems.

Qualifications

• BSc in a STEM field with extensive related engineering experience or MSc/PhD equivalents.
• Active US Government Secret clearance is required or obtainable.
• Experience designing, implementing, testing guidance, navigation and control algorithms.

Responsabilités

• Designs, develops, implements, verifies, and tests GNC algorithms and software and simulation tools.
• Performs statistical processing of data and integrates results into models.
• Formulates equations to achieve target position, orientation, or orbit.
• Develops control laws and specifies hardware/software requirements for aircraft.
