Job summary

Reliable Robotics is seeking a Senior Guidance Engineer to join the Guidance, Navigation, and Control team. You will contribute to the design, implementation, and testing of a high-integrity guidance system for autonomous flight, enabling safe integration of unmanned aircraft into the NAS.

You will work with operations, pilot teams, and software engineers to define capabilities, implement algorithms in C/C++ and Python, and analyze flight data across simulations and tests. Travel 10% required.

Qualifications

• MS in aerospace engineering, robotics, or equivalent field.
• 8+ years of experience developing guidance or motion planning for real-time vehicle systems.
• Professional C/C++ and Python software development experience.
• Excellent ability to communicate system behavior to end users.

Responsibilities

• Define guidance system capabilities and requirements with operations and pilot teams.
• Design guidance features to integrate with flight control systems and displays.
• Implement guidance algorithms in simulation and flight software.
• Reduce and analyze simulation, lab, and flight test data.
• Evaluate guidance system performance via simulation, HIL, and flight tests.
