Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. is hiring a GSE Mechanic Level III in Fort Lauderdale, FL. You will repair and maintain a wide range of ground support equipment, perform advanced diagnostics, and ensure safety standards are met across engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

The role requires 6+ years of verified experience, tool ownership, and ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends. Strong English communication and clean background checks are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
• 6 years of verified experience required.
• Must provide their own tools and toolbox.
• Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at job location.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices (IPads/Tablets, Computers, Mobile Devices).
• Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, as applicable).
• Shift flexibility including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Service equipment with fuel, water, oil, hydraulic fluid and compressed air.
• Log equipment numbers to be repaired with description of work.
• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, replace, repair, overhaul or modify engines, transmissions, electrical, brakes, hydraulics, and related systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues per manufacturer guidelines and safety regs.
• Remove, test, repair or replace components and accessories (carburetors, governors, air/oil cleaners, ignition points).
• Check/tune valves, bearings, cams, clutches and drive shafts for tolerances.
• Diagnose problems using test equipment and manuals.
• Operate and test ground equipment for performance assessment.
• Complete related paperwork and track parts.
• Adhere to safety procedures and PrimeFlight standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
