Job summary

Quizlet is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and deliver features driving acquisition, activation, upgrade, and retention. You will work with engineers, product managers, designers, and data scientists to ship scalable, high-quality solutions for learners worldwide.

As a senior individual contributor, you will own complex projects from concept to deployment, mentor teammates, and guide architecture decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in product-focused environments.
• Proven ability to deliver complex projects end-to-end from design to deployment.
• Hands-on with experimentation/feature-flag platforms (GrowthBook, Optimizely, LaunchDarkly, Statsig).
• Working knowledge of experiment design fundamentals and metrics interpretation.
• Solid backend, mobile, or full-stack experience building scalable systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end projects aligned with Quizlet's product and business priorities.
• Design and analyze A/B tests across acquisition, activation, or retention surfaces.
• Collaborate with Data Science/Analytics to define success metrics and instrument events.
• Build robust, scalable systems and maintainability across the team’s domain.
• Own a funnel or lifecycle surface (e.g., signup, onboarding, upgrade) end-to-end.
