Job summary

Chime is seeking a Growth Engineer to own end-to-end features from React/TypeScript interfaces to Rails services and APIs. You will design, implement, test, and refine consumer features, collaborate with product and design teams, and drive experiments to measure impact.

You will ensure performance, accessibility, and reliability while scaling the platform and partnering with mobile teams on contracts for React Native.

Qualifications

• 5+ years developing software in a production environment at scale.
• Proven experience with a modern front-end framework (React or comparable) and a server-side framework (Ruby on Rails or comparable).
• Comfort with TypeScript and component-driven UI development.
• Experience running experiments — A/B tests, feature flags.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, refactor and scale consumer product features end to end — from member-facing React/TypeScript interfaces through the services and APIs that power them.
• Build strong, resilient APIs and partner with mobile engineers on the contracts behind our React Native app
• Rapidly prototype and launch A/B tests, then use results to decide what ships, what iterates, and what gets killed
• Own the quality of what you ship end to end — page performance, funnel conversion, accessibility, and instrumentation
• Collaborate with product, design, data science, and marketing to understand member pain points and come up with solutions
• Proactively identify opportunities for improving reliability and scalability of our systems
• Work across the engineering team to improve and uphold high technical standards
