Job summary

Fastly is seeking a Senior Engineer - Growth to design, build, and own systems and APIs that enhance customer growth across its product offerings. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with product and platform teams to deliver innovative solutions while leading projects from conception to production.

Must have strong backend development skills with experience in large-scale system design, mentoring engineers, and working in a hybrid setting that offers flexibility. The position requires collaboration and technical leadership to drive successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing and building reliable, large-scale backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language.
• Experience with relational databases required; NoSQL is a plus.
• Experience in greenfield development.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new backend services and APIs from start to finish.
• Collaborate with product and platform teams for service integration.
• Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance.
• Participate in on-call rotations for service stability.
