Job summary

Google is seeking a Lead Group Product Manager for Cloud SQL Platform to guide products from conception to launch, breaking down complex problems and leading cross-functional teams across engineering, design, and marketing to deliver scalable solutions.

You will own the outlook, strategy, and roadmap across multiple areas, driving AI adoption and collaborating with adjacent product areas to accelerate growth while ensuring performance, security, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
• 5 years taking technical products from ideation to launch.
• 5 years with SaaS products in the relational database space.
• 5 years of people management with technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the roadmap and strategy for Cloud SQL platform across multiple product areas. Influence cross-product area strategy and define holistic and long-term strategy across all aspects of the product's success.
• Lead and coach a team of Product Managers to define roadmap for individual areas, foster collaboration and healthy team environment to deliver results.
• Partner closely with adjacent product areas and identify opportunities for better portfolio level integrations and go-to-market strategies.
• Collaborate closely with the various engine product management leads to drive growth of the business. Synthesize data and present at business reviews to executives. Deliver profound product/project impact through complex and large in scope strategic investments owned by their team.
• Leverage Google's powerful AI capabilities to improve product capabilities and improve organizational effectiveness by driving adoption of AI tools and best practices.
