Job summary

Alliant seeks an experienced benefits consultant to collaborate with consultants, account directors, and underwriters on group benefit programs. You will research carriers, develop marketing strategies, and manage RFPs to deliver competitive proposals for clients.

You will negotiate rates, review bids, and present recommended options to clients while mentoring junior staff and ensuring data integrity across systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three or more years of marketing experience in group insurance/benefits.
• Underwriting experience or exposure.
• Life or Disability license as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Researches health and welfare marketplace to identify competitive plan options for clients.
• Develops group benefit program marketing strategies with consultants and account directors.
• Creates RFPs and reviews vendor proposals for accuracy.
• Solicits bids and monitors quote timeliness and compliance.
• Negotiates rates and plan designs with carriers and vendors.
• Participates in client presentations and counsels on strategic alternatives.
• Mentors staff and ensures data integrity in systems.
