Job summary

PVA TePla AG, based in Wettenberg, is seeking an experienced Group Accountant to manage statutory and consolidated financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS. You will collaborate with global finance teams, ensure data quality for internal reporting, and support annual audits.

Applicants should have a business/ economics degree with several years in group accounting, strong HGB/IFRS knowledge, and experience with LucaNet.

Qualifications

• You have completed a degree in business administration/economics or an equivalent qualification.
• You bring several years of professional experience in group accounting, auditing, or accounting.
• You have very good knowledge of HGB and IFRS.
• You have experience with consolidation systems (LucaNet) and MS Excel; ERP experience is a plus (e.g., Business Central or b7).
• You communicate confidently in German and English.

Responsibilities

• You prepare the annual financial statements of our domestic subsidiaries in accordance with HGB and IFRS.
• You play a key role in monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements, including consolidation.
• You handle selected accounting issues in accordance with HGB and IFRS.
• You analyze data quality and ensure it within the monthly internal reporting process.
• You contribute to the annual financial statement audit.
• You work closely with our group companies and the finance teams.

Your Responsibilities

• You prepare the annual financial statements of our domestic subsidiaries in accordance with HGB and IFRS
• You play a key role in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements, including consolidation
• You handle selected accounting issues in accordance with HGB and IFRS
• You analyze data quality and ensure it within the monthly internal reporting process
• You make a significant contribution to the annual financial statement audit
• You work closely with our group companies as well as the finance teams

Your Profile

• You have successfully completed a degree in business administration/economics or have a comparable qualification
• You bring several years of professional experience in group accounting, auditing, or accounting
• You have very good knowledge of HGB and IFRS
• You have experience working with consolidation systems (ideally LucaNet), possess good MS Excel skills, and ideally also have experience with ERP systems (e.g. Business Central or b7)
• You have very good German and English language skills and communicate confidently in both languages
• You enjoy taking on responsibility and work in a structured, reliable, and solution-oriented manner
• You see occasional business travel, both domestically and internationally, as a welcome change of pace
