Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist in Montana to provide high-level hydraulic/hydrologic analysis, modeling and investigations across complex projects. You will lead planning, design and supervision of staff.

You will serve as Project Manager on larger projects, oversee water supply planning, well and pump design, groundwater modeling, water quality investigations and reporting. Local candidates preferred in Missoula, Billings, Helena, Kalispell.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Water Resources or closely related field.
• 10+ years of analysis, modeling and design and management experience.
• Project management skills a plus.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level technical expertise with regard to hydraulic/hydrologic analysis, modeling and investigation.
• Specialize in project areas that have greater scope and complexity.
• Plan and develop projects or design activities that have significant impact on major company programs as needed.
• Plan, organize and supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and technicians.
• Serve as Project Manager on larger projects as needed, though project management is not sole focus of position.
• Water supply planning and permitting.
• Well and pump system design.
• Groundwater or surface water modeling.
• Water quality investigations.
• Report writing.
