Job summary

Sodexo at Southwestern College invites a Senior Groundskeeper to join our facilities team. You will identify landscape needs, supervise groundskeeping tasks, and ensure safe, well-maintained outdoor spaces for students and staff.

The role offers full-time hours, varying shifts, and a pay range of $18–$21 per hour. Candidates should have horticultural training, pesticide/herbicide licenses, and a valid driver’s license to support campus grounds operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related groundskeeping or landscaping experience.
• Horticultural training required.
• Pesticide and herbicide licenses required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• May require certification/license for certain Heavy Equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assign and oversee the work of Groundskeepers, ensuring that all work for the shift has been completed in an acceptable manner.
• Assist in landscaping and maintaining assigned areas including keeping the grounds in clean and orderly condition.
• Responsible for general maintenance and upkeep of grounds areas and sports turf areas, as well as specific detailing of the landscape and flowerbeds.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity.
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

Pay Range: $18.00 per hour - $21 per hour
