Sodexo is hiring a Groundskeeper at Nazareth University in Rochester, NY. The role involves maintaining the university grounds, using a range of tools, and supporting landscape projects on campus.

As a team player with horticultural training and a valid driver’s license, you’ll perform tasks from sod laying to snow removal while adhering to safety standards. Full-time employment with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related work experience.
• Horticultural training required.
• Pesticide and herbicide license(s) required.
• May require certification/license for certain Heavy Equipment.
• Possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Landscape or maintain grounds using hand or power tools or equipment.
• Tasks include sod laying, mowing, trimming, edging, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, irrigation, parking lot and sidewalk cleaning, snow and ice management, and sports field setup/maintenance.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity.
• Other duties may be assigned depending on account needs.

Workdays/shifts: Varying shifts, days/hours, and some weekends/holidays. More details will be provided during the interview process.

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $20.00 per hour - $23.00 per hour

What You'll Do:

As a Groundskeeper at Sodexo, you are a problem-solver and safety promoter. We will rely on your expert knowledge to identify and maintain the property landscape.

Responsibilities include:

• Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment
• Work typically consists of a variety of tasks; examples include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, edging, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, irrigation, sweeping of parking lots and sidewalks, snow and ice management, and sports field setup and maintenance.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
