Job summary

Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) is seeking a Grounds Supervisor to oversee grounds maintenance and snow removal at Fort Carson, CO. The role ensures efficient daily operations, safety, and adherence to mission requirements, with a focus on coordinating crews and managing work orders.

The position requires 5+ years in management of maintenance crews, 3 years in heavy equipment/snow removal supervision, and a valid Driver’s License.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as manager or supervisor of maintenance crews.
• Three years of supervision of heavy equipment operations, snow removal, and vehicle maintenance.
• Possession of a Driver’s License.
• Must successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier 1) background check.
• Must be able to access a government worksite and work 12-hour shifts including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Grounds personnel with daily workload and manage work orders, ensuring efficiency.
• Develop operating policies and procedures to meet annual and long-range goals.
• Oversee safe delivery of required services and supervise irrigation, mowing and seasonal laborers.
• Train employees on equipment and tools and conduct daily safety briefs.
• Monitor turf heights and ensure compliance with PWS requirements.
• Schedule mowing and irrigation crews for special events and track cost accounting.
