Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two years of experience in construction and maintenance of public infrastructure, utilities, facilities, and property.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and obtain Louisiana Class D license within one month.
• Potentially required Flagging certification and additional department-specific licenses.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled maintenance at municipal ball fields including mowing, painting field lines, aerating, and field watering.
• Assist with skilled repair of electrical, HVAC, utilities, and mechanical systems; perform non-licensed carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical tasks.
• Assist in reconditioning tools and equipment; perform related maintenance tasks per standards.
• Prepare facilities for meetings and events; set up bleachers, chairs, tables, and decoration; assist with traffic control and post-event cleanup.
• Clean restrooms and facilities; sweep, mop, polish, and restock supplies; manage waste and perform general upkeep.
• Respond to emergency calls during inclement weather or other situations; follow safety protocols.
