Qualifications

• Must possess a current valid California Department of Motor Vehicle Driver's License.
• Must be insurable under Peralta Community College District's current insurance policy.
• Understanding of, sensitivity to and respect for the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of Peralta Colleges’ students, faculty, staff and community.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small grounds crew and coordinate work assignments.
• Inspect grounds and detect maintenance problems; monitor vandalism.
• Plan and assign tasks to Groundsworker-Gardeners, student help, and seasonal staff.
• Maintain records of equipment use and chemicals used.
• Schedule watering programs and manage related activities.
• Oversee crew performance and communicate issues to supervisor.
