Job summary

KBR, Inc in Colorado Springs seeks a Senior Ground Systems Engineer to provide SETA support for ground segment architecture, antenna scheduling, and mission data flows for classified space missions. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance, a technical engineering degree, 10+ years in DoD/IC or space systems, and strong communication skills to translate complex data

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, or applied science; ABET accreditation preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in DoD/IC, government, or industry in systems engineering.
• Experience with software-intensive space systems and ground segments.
• Knowledge of ground antenna networks, RF spectrum, and C2 requirements.
• Ability to assess mission partner antenna network requirements and onboard partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and SETA advisory support for ground system architecture and antenna scheduling.
• Serve as a technical contact for ground design documentation and interfaces.
• Review requirements, test strategies, and system baselines for ground antennas and operations.
• Track deficiencies, risks, and performance trends; advise on impacts to schedule and cost.
• Coordinate with SE, risk, CM, test, and mission partner organizations to support milestones.
• Prepare technical recommendations and decision materials for program leadership.
