Job summary

KBR seeks a Senior Ground Systems Engineer to provide SETA support for ground segment design, antenna scheduling, and network operations in support of classified space missions.

The role requires a BS in engineering or related field and at least 10 years in DoD/IC or space mission operations, with active TS/SCI clearance. On-site Colorado location, travel up to 30%, standard 40-hour weeks.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required; U.S. citizen only.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree or PE preferred where required.
• Minimum 10 years in DoD/IC or related fields with ground systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and SETA advisory for ground system architecture and networks.
• Serve as technical contact for design documentation and test strategies.
• Review requirements, test plans, and baselines for ground antenna scheduling and operations.
• Track deficiencies, risks, and performance trends; advise leadership on impacts.
• Evaluate telemetry and data flows to validate system behavior and identify degradation.
• Facilitate process improvements across ground networks and automation workflows.
• Coordinate with multiple orgs to support milestones and readiness.
• Prepare technical recommendations and executive briefing materials.
• Perform duties independently in a classified environment and mentor junior staff.
