Job summary

KBR is seeking a Senior-Level Ground System Interface Engineer in Sioux Falls, SD, to help advance Earth science data systems. You’ll lead interface design, drive architecture decisions, and collaborate with scientists and mission partners in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

This onsite role requires strong systems engineering expertise, hands-on testing, and the ability to work with international stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in systems engineering or software development for scientific/engineering applications.
• Ability to lead complex system design and integration efforts.

Responsibilities

• Define interface requirements and develop resulting interface control/specification documents.
• Develop N2 diagrams or similar matrix diagrams to promote understanding of interfaces, dataflows and data building throughout the system of systems.
• Develop and execute system integration and test plans; perform integration, system, and acceptance testing.
• Evaluate component products for interface control/specification document compliance through inspection and analysis.
• Perform detailed verification and validation of the integrated ground system requirements with a focus on interface requirements.
• Provide support on technical and engineering matters, leading or participating in trade studies, simulations and modeling.
• Conduct systems engineering activities in accordance with an established Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP).
• Support system testing from component through system and mission integration.
