Job summary

KBR, Inc. is hiring a Ground Station System Engineer III at the Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center in Sioux Falls, SD. This full-time, onsite role supports RF hardware, satellite communications systems, and ground station integration for NASA/USGS missions.

You will work with a skilled team on cutting-edge satellite tech, perform systems engineering activities, and contribute to mission-critical projects that influence global Earth science data delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Satellite Communications/Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in Satellite Communications Engineering or related field.
• Experience with satellite ground systems or LEO satellite communications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide hardware engineering support and maintenance for ground station RF equipment.
• Develop ground-based Satellite Communications systems in line with mission requirements.
• Coordinate technical status with Systems, Software, and Operations teams.
• Conduct systems engineering activities per the SEM Plan.
• Support defining and documenting interface definitions and requirements.
• Perform architecture and trade studies; execute integration testing.
• Participate in remote partner location integration activities.
• Adhere to standards and configuration management processes.
