Job summary

ENGIE Italia is seeking a Senior Business Developer to propel its green power and BESS portfolio in Italy from Rome. You will lead origination, structure complex PPA solutions, and manage client relationships across the energy value chain.

Joining a front-office trading environment, you will collaborate with trading, risk, legal, and pricing teams to drive revenue growth while navigating Italian market structure and regulatory context.

Qualifications

• More than 10 years of experience in the energy market with origination exposure.
• Master degree in engineering, economics, finance, or related quantitative field.
• Strong knowledge of the Italian power system, markets and regulatory context.
• Familiarity with pricing models, risk metrics and physical/financial energy contracts.
• Excellent commercial and negotiation capabilities.
• Fluent in English and Italian.

Responsibilities

• Develop green power and BESS flexibility business, building the commercial pipeline and closing deals.
• Lead Green Power PPAs onboarding, structuring, client relationship management and governance processes.
• Draft and structure downstream PPA offers with Downstream sales teams.
• Identify BESS tolling and flexibility opportunities with third party developers.
• Develop 24/7 Hybrid PPA solutions for mature clients and data centers.
• Provide market knowledge and support to contract implementation with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor regulatory and market changes affecting green power and BESS in Italy.
