Job summary

6sense is seeking a Senior Security Engineer, GRC to align governance, risk, and compliance with business objectives. You will build automated control monitoring, generate evidence from AWS, and enable self-service audits across the security program.

The role requires 5+ years in GRC, hands-on automation (Python), and experience with industry frameworks. Expect AI-driven workflows, and collaboration with Platform Engineering and IT in a fast‑paced SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a GRC or similar team.
• Hands-on automation experience; Python preferred; Git, CI/CD familiarity.
• AWS experience for control monitoring and evidence generation.
• Experience retrieving and reconciling data via APIs and SQL.
• Practical use of LLMs/AI agents in real workflows.
• Familiarity with security tools and cloud environments (GRC, SIEM, SOAR, AWS).
• Experience with ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, PCI, SOX, NIST, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own automated security control monitoring; write production-quality code (e.g., Python) under version control, peer review, and CI/CD.
• Convert the control library from periodic testing to continuous control monitoring with defined signals, frequency, and thresholds.
• Engineer self-service technical evidence collection in AWS using native services for on-demand evidence retrieval.
• Redesign GRC processes to be AI-native; apply AI/LLMs with guardrails and human review.
• Lead internal and external audit engagements with automated evidence as the primary artifact.
• Partner with Platform Engineering, DevOps, and IT to shift controls left into preventive guardrails.
