Job summary

Civitas Agency, a creative communications and public affairs firm in Downtown Nashville, seeks a Senior Graphic Designer to support a roster of government agencies, economic development groups, and nonprofits. You will design websites, social content, and campaigns using Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, with an emphasis on UX and brand consistency.

Initial 4-day in-office schedule in Downtown Nashville, transitioning to hybrid within six months.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated portfolio showcasing exceptional website design projects.
• Proficiency in UX design principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Extensive experience working with Figma.
• Strong visual design skills, including layout composition, typography, color theory, and iconography.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and strategies to both internal teams and clients.
• Fluency with AI-powered creative tools and a demonstrated ability to incorporate AI into your creative workflow.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualization, design, and execution of visually appealing websites that align with client goals and brand guidelines.
• Develop user-centric website experiences in Figma and Webflow by employing UX principles, including user research, information architecture, wireframing, and prototyping.
• Present design concepts and strategies to clients, communicating the rationale behind design decisions and addressing feedback.
• Create engaging static images and animations for social media platforms, aligning with the brand's visual identity and objectives.
• Prepare advertising campaigns, including ad visuals, banners, and promotional materials that communicate the brand message to the target audience.
• Utilize Adobe Creative Suite to design and produce assets for marketing and promotional purposes.
• Develop compelling logo designs and brand identity systems that communicate the brand's values and differentiate it from competitors.
• Collaborate with teammates to develop creative concepts and campaigns that drive brand awareness and customer engagement.
• Ensure all design deliverables meet project timelines, quality standards, and budget requirements.
