Job summary

SpaLife is seeking a Senior Packaging Designer to elevate our evolving brand story from concept to final delivery. You will join a dynamic design team, producing high-volume, on-brand packaging concepts and marketing assets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Provide portfolio demonstrating 6+ years in packaging design.
• Experience in health & beauty or CPG is a bonus.
• Expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign is required.
• Proficiency with AI design tools to speed concepts.
• Portfolio shows ability to work within and create new design language.
• Desire to mentor others and collaborate with diverse partners.

SpaLife is looking for a Senior Packaging Designer with solid design capabilities to help elevate and execute our evolving brand story. In this role, you’ll collaborate with our dynamic design team to create a variety of on-brand and innovative product packaging concepts and marketing assets.

To be successful, you should have a keen eye for detail, love tracking and staying up-to-date-on packaging trends, and will be comfortable creating high-volume designs in a fast-paced setting, from initial conceptualization to final delivery.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Design a high volume of creative, including but not limited to: original packaging design, PDQs, pitch decks, brand collateral, social media content, and other digital marketing assets
• Collaborate cross-functionally with fellow designers, copywriters, and marketing to continuously develop and elevate SpaLife’s visual brand story
• Ensure brand image is consistent across all channels and adheres to brand style guide
• Stay informed on consumer habits while responding to the unique needs of the individual accounts we currently work with
• Effectively interpret & respond to creative briefs
• Demonstrate the ability to concept and ideate different design territories, while effectively communicating design process and creative decision making to account managers
• Integrate AI-assisted design tools (Adobe Firefly, Generative Fill, etc.) into daily workflows to speed up concepting and production, using sound creative judgment to determine where AI adds value versus where hands-on craft is essential
• Help mentor & grow junior designers, assist Head of Design with design direction, review & feedback work for excellence

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• 6+ years of professional packaging design experience (to be considered, please provide a portfolio demonstrating relevant experience!)
• Previous experience in health & beauty industry or CPG is a strong bonus
• Expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator, & InDesign are a must, knowledge of other Adobe creative suite programs are a plus
• Proficiency with AI-powered design tools (Adobe Firefly, Photoshop Generative Fill, etc.) to accelerate concepting and production workflows.
• A design portfolio that demonstrates the ability to work within existing design languages as well as establish new ones
• A desire to review work, mentor others, and co-create with partners from different background and expertise
• Project and time-management skills: ability to create and deliver under tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting
• Mockup and photo-retouching skills
• A team player who thrives on creative collaboration, with excellent communication & organizational skills
• A natural creativity and ability to think outside the box!

Base Pay Range: $80,000-$100,000/year
