MoMA PS1 is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to shape the institution's visual identity across exhibitions, publications, and digital platforms. You will develop high-level concepts and visual systems, ensuring cohesive branding from print to wayfinding and online experiences.
You will collaborate with curatorial, development, and marketing teams, managing projects end-to-end while upholding ADA accessibility and design standards.

Founded in 1976, the institution was a defining force in the alternative space movement in New York City, transforming a nineteenth-century public schoolhouse in Long Island City into a site for artistic experimentation and creativity. PS1 has been a member of New York City’s Cultural Institutions Group (CIG) since 1982 and affiliated with The Museum of Modern Art since 2000.
This position serves as MoMA PS1’s in-house graphic designer, supporting the Museum’s brand, exhibitions, publications, website, marketing, wayfinding, and other institutional communications. The Senior Graphic Designer develops and implements creative concepts and visual systems across print, digital, environmental, and experiential applications, ensuring a cohesive and evolving visual identity across platforms.
The Senior Graphic Designer reports to the Chief of External Affairs at MoMA PS1, and works in close collaboration with the communications, curatorial, development, visitor engagement, and other internal teams, as well as with the The Museum of Modern Art’s marketing and design teams.
The salary range for this position is $80,000 – $85,000 annually. Benefits include 20 days paid vacation leave; 10 days paid sick leave; 11 paid holidays; and 3 paid personal days; participation in a 401(k) savings plans, life insurance; medical/health (including visual and dental); transit, health, and dependent care FSA; and pension plan.
