Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Seattle, WA seeks an experienced Software Development Engineer to design and deliver new graph database features for Neptune, focusing on high availability and performance. You will collaborate across teams to build algorithms and capabilities that support hundreds of billions of relationships with millisecond latency.

You will mentor teammates, participate in design reviews, and help scale the service for a large customer base.

Qualifications

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
5+ years of programming with at least one language experience.
5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
Knowledge of database internals, query planning and optimization and/or storage performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver new algorithms and features that drive Neptune's high availability, reliability and performance.
Develop database service capabilities while working with team members.
Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.
Create metrics, automation and improvements to drive efficiency in software architecture.
