Job summary

Veriipro is seeking a Senior Graph Database Developer to lead production-grade graph database design and to architect Neptune environments in a hybrid Chicago setting.

You will work with Gremlin/SPARQL, Python/JVM, and AWS services to build scalable knowledge graphs and advanced data pipelines. This role targets a technical expert with 10+ years of experience and a focus on reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Architecture, or related field.
• Extensive hands-on experience designing and managing production-scale Amazon Neptune graph databases.
• Experience with graph query languages Gremlin or SPARQL.
• Advanced production coding in Python or JVM environments (Java, Scala).
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (S3, RDS, ECS).

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise ontologies, taxonomies, and graph schemas that reflect complex business structures.
• Architect, configure, and scale Amazon Neptune database environments to handle billions of relationships.
• Integrate knowledge graphs into GraphRAG pipelines to enhance contextual grounding and minimize AI hallucinations. Partner with AI teams to implement hybrid search architectures combining graph traversals with vector databases.
