Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience as a Research Administrator in ORPA required.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, processes, signs, and submits grant applications, sponsored research agreements, and clinical trials.
• Drafts, reviews, and negotiates moderately complex research agreements, clinical trials, and various other types of agreements associated with research within a large institution.
• Seeks input from leadership if necessary and maintains knowledge of University, Sponsor and other relevant policies.
• Submits mandatory requests to federal agencies, communications with non-federal sponsors, and with educational institutions and/or external sponsors.
• Assists in budgeting of submitted grants and contracts and has signing authority.
• Provides expert guidance on all aspects of sponsored programs administration to leadership and other staff.
• Trains departmental staff and outside parties on fundamental matters and oversees information systems pertinent to research administration.
