Job summary

The Senior Accountant, Revenue at New World Symphony will manage grant accounting, revenue recognition, and financial reporting for grants, contributions, ticket sales and other revenue sources. This on-site role requires collaboration with multiple departments to ensure grant compliance and accurate reporting.

Responsibilities include processing revenue, reconciling ledgers and supporting audits; maintaining Tessitura data, and assisting with internal controls and housing revenue activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required; five years of accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with nonprofit accounting, grants, restricted funds, and audits is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of revenue recognition, internal controls, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve grant accounting processes and reporting for accurate grant tracking.
• Process cash receipts, revenue transactions, and reconcile contributions and ticket sales.
• Prepare month-end/year-end reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Process Fellow stipend payments and coordinate stipend administration and reporting.
• Assist with audits, respond to requests, and maintain organized records for compliance.
• Coordinate with Housing Revenue (Alton Pointe) including invoicing and rent reconciliation.
