Job summary

The University of North Texas in Denton seeks a Senior Research Analyst in Grant Administration to oversee post-award expenditure compliance and grant management. Reporting to the Sr Director, Post Award Grant Management, you will review budgets, forecast spending, and implement procedures aligned with federal, state, and institutional standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently on proposals and awards, and as part of a team of research administrators.
• Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management and problem solving skills.
• Experience with pre- or post-award administration regulations and procedures.
• Budget planning, analysis, and reconciliation experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budgets, reporting schedules, and regulatory timelines.
• Serve as primary contact for all sponsored project expenditures.
• Advise PIs and project staff on award terms, obligations, and allowable costs.
• Coordinate amendments, extensions, and reporting requirements.
• Interpret policies and translate them into guidance.
• Liaise between PIs, staff, and central office to ensure seamless operations and billing.
• Monitor report submissions and assist with closeouts and effort reporting.
