Job summary

The College of Wooster in Wooster, OH seeks a Senior Accountant, Grants and General Ledger to oversee grants accounting, fixed assets and related month-end close. You will monitor grant budgets, ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, and assist with year-end financial statements and audits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of grants and general ledger accounting experience.
• Not-for-profit or higher education experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field; CPA or working toward CPA.
• Experience with Datatel's Colleague software.

Responsibilities

• Manage post-award grant accounting, budgeting, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with grant regulations and Uniform Guidance.
• Prepare recurring journal entries and month-end close.
• Support year-end financial statements and audits.
• Back-up Accounts Payable Manager.
