Job summary

Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health seeks a Senior Grants and Contracts Manager to support post-award and some pre-award activities for sponsored programs.

You will work closely with faculty, review expenditures, ensure compliance, and manage reporting and close-outs with a focus on NIH and other sponsors. The role requires 5+ years in research administration, CRA certification preferred, and strong Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience, with 3+ years in pre- and post-award management (federal and non-federal)
• Bachelor’s degree required; CRA certification preferred
• Experience managing complex research awards and sponsors; familiarity with sponsor requirements
• Advanced Excel skills and strong regulatory/compliance knowledge
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Post-award responsibilities: create budget reconciliation and forecasting reports; review expenditures; ensure effort reporting compliance; process payroll changes; handle journal entries and close-outs
• Pre-award responsibilities: support grant preparation and budget development; respond to sponsor requests; coordinate with Principal Investigators and central offices to meet requirements
• Collaborate with faculty and administrators to ensure adherence to university, school and sponsor policies
