Job summary

University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) invites applications for the Associate Director of Research Development (ADRD) in the Creative Achievement and Research Administration Team (CARAT) within CAHSS. The ADRD partners with faculty to pursue external funding, develops proposals, and coordinates program-wide strategies across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Minimum MA in a relevant field; PhD preferred.
• 5+ years of research development experience.
• Experience with sponsor guidelines and budget development.

Responsibilities

• Identify and disseminate funding opportunities for CAHSS sub-disciplines across sponsors and internal programs.
• Develop and coordinate grant proposals, budgets and resubmission strategies.
• Coach faculty on fellowships, competitive grants, and grant-writing programs.
• Coordinate workshops, webinars, and training for faculty grant competitiveness.
• Maintain program-officer directories and liaison with OIA and OSP.
