Job summary

NVIDIA seeks an experienced engineer to advance GPU-accelerated software for quantum computing and system simulations. You will design and optimize high-performance algorithms, scale quantum circuit simulations, and collaborate with research, technology, and product teams.

Applicants should have strong C++/Python, MPI experience, and a track record in scientific software for quantum simulations; equity and benefits are included. This is an on-site Santa Clara role with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Applied Math, Physics, or related field.
8+ years of experience in relevant areas.
Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.
Experience developing scientific software used in quantum simulations (e.g., circuit simulators, compilers, hybrid computing).

Responsibilities

Research and develop GPU accelerated algorithms across multiple hardware generations.
Develop HPC algorithms to scale quantum circuit simulations.
Collaborate with NVIDIA Research, Developer Technology, and Product Management.
Interact with external partners to understand use cases and requirements.
Provide technical leadership to other engineers.
Analyze performance of GPU/CPU/multi-node implementations for improvements.
