Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in advanced technical field and 8+ years of experience or Master's with 6+ years.
• Experience with sensor fusion algorithms: EKF, UKF, PF, or factor graphs.
• Experience with IMUs in multi-sensor navigation systems.
• Knowledge of navigation architectures as part of flight-system software.
• Ability to contribute to dynamic MATLAB simulations.
• Strong interpersonal and IPT collaboration skills.
• US Citizen with existing security clearance (Secret or above).

Responsibilities

• Perform modeling, simulation, and analysis of a navigation system as part of a broader system simulation.
• Conduct simulation trade studies to inform navigation hardware requirements.
• Lead the design of new algorithms for developmental flight systems and transition to real-time GPS-denied navigation.
• Apply multiple sensor fusion algorithms including EKF, UKF, PF, and factor graphs.
• Fuse simulated and real-world sensor inputs from IMUs, GPS, altimeters, cameras, and other aiding sensors.
• Collaborate across disciplines to design navigation systems balancing accuracy, environment, and cost.
• Travel with a team to coordinate with teammates and customers; travel typically up to one week.
• Present techniques, solutions, and results to team and customers.
