Job summary

Sherman Oaks Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is seeking a Senior Government Payer Biller/Collector in California. The role focuses on billing and collections with government and commercial payers, including proactive follow-up and resolving claim rejections.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hospital government payer and commercial collector experience.
• Associates degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Knowledge of contract interpretation.
• Familiar with hospital billing requirements.
• Understanding of managed care payor contract and contract language.
• Working experience with all payer types including commercial, governmental, Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, etc.

Responsibilities

• Billing and collections, gathering and securing all information needed for billing, follow up, and payment of accounts per payer guidelines.
• Maintain deficiency lists and resolve claim rejections; package claims with attachments and global billing where needed.
• Proactive follow up with payers and other entities to secure payment and account closure.
