CapMetro in Austin, TX is seeking a Government Affairs Advisor III to lead a complex policy program. You will work with the Director and VP of Government Affairs, coordinating policy monitoring, stakeholder engagement, and legislative advocacy.

You will build relationships with elected officials, regulators, boards, and industry partners, represent CapMetro at meetings, and help disseminate policy updates and public information. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Government, Planning, Public Relations, or related field; related experience may substitute for up to four years.
• Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in legislative research, planning, and/or analysis.
• Proficient experience using Microsoft Office Applications, databases, and other software.

Responsabilités

• Lead a complex government affairs program portfolio in coordination with the Director and Vice President of Government Affairs.
• Build and maintain relationships with elected officials, regulatory agencies, and public/private partners.
• Represent CapMetro at governmental meetings and briefings, and disseminate policy updates and public information.
• Support legislative advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and media/public affairs initiatives.
• Collaborate on events and internal/external coordination related to government affairs.
