Qualifications

• Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in Accounting or a related field, plus two years of professional accounting experience.
• Public agency accounting experience is desirable.
• Familiarity with GASB standards and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and reconciles general ledger and related accounts; prepares adjusting entries and closing entries.
• Assists in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analyses for operating and capital budgets.
• Conducts internal audits and ensures compliance with governmental accounting standards.
• Develops and implements improved accounting procedures and reports.
