Job summary

Axon seeks a Senior Client Engineer to own Google Workspace and SaaS integrations, leading cross-functional IT initiatives. You’ll drive automation, maintain security, and collaborate with Security, Legal, and People Operations to scale our IT infrastructure.

You will work in a hybrid Boston-based role, guiding enterprise collaboration, identity, and endpoint platforms across the organization. Strong automation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of admin experience with Google Workspace and related SaaS tools.
• Experience managing Google Workspace at scale (Drive, Gmail, Vault, DLP).
• Knowledge of identity and access management concepts (SAML, OAuth, SCIM, RBAC).
• Hands-on experience with Okta SSO and workflow automation.
• Experience managing endpoint fleets (Jamf, Intune, Tanium or equivalent).
• Proficiency with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Strong REST API integration and automation skills.
• Ability to lead technical workstreams from discovery to implementation.
• Clear, direct communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical owner and lead administrator for Google Workspace and ecosystem.
• Lead Google Workspace initiatives, tool integrations, and feature rollouts.
• Manage Google Workspace administration, including drive governance and domain migrations.
• Act as SME for Google Workspace integrations (Okta SSO, Slack, SaaS connectors).
• Own escalated support for complex Google Workspace and SaaS issues.
• Identify opportunities to automate IT Engineering workflows and improve reliability.
• Architect and maintain automation using APIs and scripting.
• Document decisions and runbooks for long-term maintainability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to meet security and employee experience needs.
