Job summary

Coalfire is seeking a Principal Google Cloud Security Consultant to lead enterprise Google Cloud security engagements, from discovery through delivery, focusing on secure architecture, posture modernization, and operationalization.

You’ll translate complex security findings into executive-level risk and investment recommendations, while guiding customer teams toward mature, scalable cloud security programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years security consulting with 4+ years in Google Cloud
• Experience delivering Google Cloud security architecture & operationalization
• Hands-on leadership across cloud security projects
• Experience with cloud-native security platforms (SIEM, CNAPP, CSPM)
• Experience with security in regulated environments (FedRAMP, FISMA, HIPAA, HITRUST, PCI, CMMC)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to lead complex, enterprise-scale engagements
• Proven ability to translate security findings into business risk & priorities
• Experience with Vertex AI security is a plus
• Mentorship and capability-building in Google Cloud Security practice

Responsibilities

• Lead Google Cloud security architecture design and reviews across IAM, networking, data protection, logging and compliance
• Advise customers on GCP security strategy aligned to risk and regulatory needs
• Lead security posture assessments to identify high-impact risks and gaps
• Develop remediation roadmaps and maturity-based security plans
• Oversee Security Command Center implementation and integration with vulnerability management
• Support SIEM modernization including log source rationalization and detection migration
• Translate findings into executive risk reporting and investments
• Guide teams through secure cloud design, deployment, and operations
• Mentor consultants to raise practice capabilities
• Contribute to process improvements and reusable security assets
